This concept art, the concept art for Hibiki's daughters (yes, DaughterS, of
Dita and Meia) are all concept art(s) for what the second stage could have been.
It would have been a story set after the Nirvana returnes to Mejere.
This I supposed would have been the new Vanguard of the seires based on Dread
Dita. The new Dread would have been based on Dread Meia. It's an uncommon scan
floating around on the internet.

are NOT VF-0 prototypes, nor are they related to Macross in any way, other than
they inspired their creation.
Looks like preproduction artwork. The top form looks like one of the 'angels'
from the TV series. And I know the origional sketches looked patlabor-ish.
If I remember correctly this is a series of new, recent drawings (2000-2003/4?)
for the new Evangelion game... I think all of them were CDs. Among them is an
image of Rei polishing up Eva 00...
Interesting. I've seen the EVA 01 scan up close before, but never the vulture
Evas. I wonder where the scan came from...
It's a redesign with a new gun. Custom weapons like this show up from time to
time without any real definition. For all we know it could be another kind of
pulse rifle.
I've seen this particular re-design around in places. Not sure if it's the new
'canon' Eva 01 ala DYRL? with Macross, but it's pretty awesome nevertheless.

Points for realism here... shading is excelent and it looks like a solid stab at trying to portray the pilots in a 'realistic' light.
Though I have to ask, what's Asuka's nationality? German or Japanese? She looks the latter here.
Still, it's a wallpaper to smile to. If only Asuka were this good natured to Shinji in the anime...
